The Yokohama Bay Bridge was one of the tallest bridges in Japan at the time it was completed in September 1989.
The bridge spans Tokyo Bay allowing flow of traffic from the Port of Yokohama to the expressway that heads to Kawasaki and Tokyo. The bridge can be seen from various parts of Yokohama sightseeing spots including Yamashita Park, Minato View Park, the Minato Mirai area, and more.
